Easy Boho Bridal Hair and Makeup

This week I had the chance to glam up DW for her bridal portraits.

I loved getting to know DW a little better during our session. You can see us chatting literally the entire time.

Her personal style is a mix of edgy and bohemian with a hit of glam. We wanted to embody DW's personal style in her bridal portraits.

Fun Fact: Her mother in law MADE her wedding dress for her! It was hand crocheted and fits in perfectly to the laid back, natural and chic vibe of the bride to be.

Here's the highlights of DW's makeup and hair appointment at my home studio.

For DW's look I used a mix of waterproof SeneGence products and various other brands I had in my kit. We used her foundation since we didn't have a trial before hand to make sure it was a match and formula she's already comfortable with.

Here's the details on what I used, in order of appearance (just like the movies):

  1. MAC Burgundy Times 9 in Quarry

  2. Urban Decay Eyeshadow, Virgin

  3. Waterproof Liner, Sephora Brand

  4. Rimmel London, Stay Matte Foundation in True Nude

  5. Pixi by Petra, Fresh Face Blush in BeachRose

  6. Makeup Forever Artist Shadow in M626

  7. My own private line of lashes exclusively for my brides!

For DW's hair, she let her hair dry naturally in a french braid to give it texture. She told me her hair doesn't hold heated curl very well so we made her boho braided look come to life with her natural texture.

What do you think of DW's final look? Let me know in the comments!

Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for tutorials and makeup reviews! This is a new type of format and I'd love to know what you think!
